Henry passed away 5 days after preaching this powerful message.
“to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Cor.5:6
Henry Schmidt spent his first 26 years of life seeking: ‘ever learning but never able to come to knowledge of the truth.’ But God brought him to the end of himself and he ‘gave up the pursuit of knowledge and found the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.’ Henry has been pastoring for 30 years as well as teaching in Bible schools and training centres as well as traveling extensively on short-term missions all over the world (roughly 65 countries). He is a prophetic teacher with a passion to help disciples answer the call of the kingdom of God on their lives, securing them in their identity and releasing them into their destiny in Christ. His heart is to help bring many sons/daughters from glory to glory into their full inheritance.
Even though he and his wife Erica only had 3 natural children, they also had hundreds of spiritual children around the world. His passion was for raising up the next generation of followers of Christ through discovering the Father’s heart and the Revelation of Jesus Christ. He poured out his life, wisdom, and spirit into the people around him. Although we will miss him greatly here on earth, he has graduated and is rejoicing with Jesus and Erica in Heaven. There are many “eagles” who, confident in their identity and released into their destiny, will carry on Henry’s legacy.
He will be missed dearly by his three children, their spouses, and 8 grandchildren: Amy and Gabriel (Zion, Justice, and Lailah-Dawn), Sophia and Ryan (Anastasia and Aleksandre), and Michael and Kelsey (Judah, Theo, and Everly). He was predeceased by his wife, Erica; his brothers, Eric (Sandy) and Ernie (Carol); and sister, Lucy (Dave Gmur).
